About Us
“Hair, to me, is a language. You have to touch it first…
use your senses to communicate with it…and then let it speak back to you.”

PASCAL SELLEM
Born and raised in Paris, France, with French/Algerian background, I moved to Atlanta in 1988. Having been raised in a family of hair stylists, the transition into the trade was easy. I have trained with one of the world’s best kept secrets — Serge Sellem, my uncle and mentor. His older brother, Leon Sellem, has also coached me through the years. I am a third generation stylist with old school approach in the art of hairstyling. No school teaches you what I have learned about hair from these two men.
My professional career in Atlanta started in 1991 as I continued my 3-year studies under my uncle Serge Sellem. Afterwards, I furthered my education at Roffler-Moler Hairstyling College, located in Atlanta, which is a Framesi school. Having studied L’Oreal color for three years with Serge, Framesi color at the school greatly contributed to me becoming a color master in the hair salon industry.
I enhanced my education by studying under other peers in the industry. Scott Cole’s brother, Wes Cole, has taught me the art of perming and directed me through “pivot point haircutting”. I also had the great pleasure of working with Wes Cole on stage creating innovative hair styles at International Beauty Shows.
My studies continued with Artec on stage at IBS shows, where I learned the art of maintaining great hair color with Artec’s “tone on tone” color shampoos and conditioners. I later studied under Irwin Rusk with his right-hand man, Yves, who took great interest in me and helped me expand my knowledge. They not only taught me the art of chemical relaxers and rusk haircutting (with notching shears), but also instilled in me the ability to educate other salons about the art of hairstyling.
I have worked on stage with various companies, directed fashion shows for both profit and non-profit sectors, styled for weddings, film and photo shoots and, on occasion, have given seminars on hair styles and creating a complete “image” with my network of hair salon professionals. I never stop learning.I fine tune my knowledge by continually educating myself in the field of hair so I can keep current and up-to-date with changing hair styles, textures and type.
“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder”, as it is said. “Not everyone has that gift...I have that gift.”
